Nursery Room Leader – Early Years Educator

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Nursery Room Leader to join our early years team in Norbury. You will lead a small group of practitioners, create engaging learning environments and uphold our ‘learning through play’ philosophy.

Key responsibilities

• Manage, develop and motivate a small team of early years staff.
• Plan and deliver a wide range of educational activities aligned with the EYFS framework.
• Design inviting, child‑centred learning spaces within the room.
• Showcase the room to prospective parents and support enrolment conversations.
• Build strong relationships with children, parents and colleagues.
• Ensure safeguarding procedures are followed and promote child welfare at all times.

Required profile

• NVQ/Cache Level 3 or equivalent early years qualification.
• Proven experience as a Room Leader or similar supervisory role.
• Solid knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and child development.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Self‑motivated, energetic and able to inspire a team.
• Strong planning and organisational abilities.
