Nursery Room Leader

About the role

We are looking for a passionate Nursery Room Leader to join our dedicated early years team in Lewisham. You will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing environment where children can thrive and develop through high‑quality play experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Work as part of the nursery team to ensure every child receives high‑quality care and stimulating play aligned with the EYFS curriculum.
• Maintain a safe environment and oversee the wellbeing of all children in the room.
• Monitor and respond to the individual needs of each child, adapting activities and support as required.
• Support and coordinate staff within the room to meet children’s needs effectively.
• Provide flexible coverage across age groups as needed.

Required profile

• Level 3 Childcare qualification or higher (candidates with strong experience may be considered).
• Experience working in a nursery or early years setting.
• Commitment to delivering the EYFS curriculum and fostering children’s development.
• Ability to work 36 or 40 hours per week, with flexibility on shift patterns.
