Nursery Room Leader (Term‑Time, 9am‑3pm)

About the role

We are seeking an inspiring early years professional to lead a nursery room on a term‑time basis. The role runs Monday to Friday, 9am to 3pm, and focuses on creating magical learning experiences that nurture curiosity, confidence and wellbeing.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, inspire and support a room team to deliver outstanding childcare and education.
• Create a warm, welcoming and stimulating environment where every child can flourish.
• Plan engaging, child‑led activities that reflect interests and support individual development.
• Build strong, trusting relationships with children, families and colleagues.
• Champion mindfulness, wellbeing, outdoor learning and the nursery’s unique ethos.
• Maintain the highest standards of safeguarding, health and safety.
• Support learning in line with the EYFS framework while embracing the Little Lumos approach.

Required profile

• Level 3 Early Years qualification (or higher).
• Previous experience leading a nursery room or readiness to step into a leadership role.
• Passion for delivering exceptional early years education.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Kind, positive and professional leadership style.
• Belief that children learn best through play, exploration and meaningful experiences.
• Enthusiasm for wellbeing, outdoor learning and creating magical moments daily.
