Nursery Staff – Early Years Practitioner (Birkenhead)

About the role
Academics is seeking qualified Level 3 early years practitioners to join a flexible pool of Nursery Staff covering Birkenhead and surrounding areas. The role offers regular weekly shifts, allowing you to choose hours that fit your personal commitments while delivering high‑quality care for young children.
Key responsibilities
- Foster a warm, engaging, and secure environment for children aged 0‑5 years.
- Design and deliver play‑based learning activities in line with EYFS guidelines.
- Observe, track and support individual developmental milestones.
- Collaborate with permanent staff in high‑quality settings across Birkenhead.
Required profile
- Valid Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years Education.
- Practical experience working in a busy childcare team.
- Current understanding of safeguarding policies and early years milestones.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one through Academics).
Required skills
- Knowledge of the EYFS framework.
- Ability to plan and implement play‑based learning.
- Observational and record‑keeping skills for child development.
