Nursery Teacher

About the role

Tradewind Recruitment is partnering with welcoming primary schools across Harrow to recruit a passionate Nursery Teacher for September 2026. The position can be full‑time or part‑time, fitting your availability within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver stimulating, play‑based learning experiences that support children’s personal, social and emotional development.
• Promote communication, language, early literacy and numeracy through child‑led activities.
• Collaborate with Nursery practitioners and SENCO staff to identify and support children with additional needs, including SEND and EAL.
• Maintain accurate observations and EYFS assessments in line with the statutory framework.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential.
• Experience teaching in the EYFS, ideally in a Nursery or Reception setting.
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS statutory framework and Development Matters.
• Confidence in play‑based, child‑led pedagogy and early communication development.
• Experience supporting children with SEND and EAL.
• Up‑to‑date safeguarding knowledge and understanding of child protection responsibilities.
