Nursery Teaching Assistant – Level 3 (Full‑time/Contract)

About the role

We are seeking caring and proactive Nursery Teaching Assistants to support pupils in Nursery and EYFS settings across Lambeth and surrounding areas. The role involves 1:1 and small‑group support for children, including those with mild to moderate SEND, helping them access the curriculum and develop confidence.

Key responsibilities

• Provide targeted 1:1 or small‑group assistance for Nursery and EYFS pupils.
• Support children with SEND to engage with learning activities.
• Assist the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom management.
• Help create an inclusive, engaging learning environment.
• Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and support staff to monitor progress and wellbeing.
• Prepare learning resources and classroom activities.

Required profile

• Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
• Recent experience in a UK primary school setting.
• Experience supporting pupils with SEND, preferably in a 1:1 capacity.
• Strong communication, patience and adaptability.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

• Flexible full‑time or part‑time contracts with start dates in June or September 2026.
• Daily rate of £93–£105 depending on experience and qualifications.
