Nursery Teaching Assistant – Putney Common

About the role
We are seeking a caring and proactive Nursery Teaching Assistant to join our Early Years team at a friendly primary school near Putney Common. The role starts in September and runs full‑time, Monday to Friday, supporting children aged 3‑4 years in a nurturing environment.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the class teacher with play‑based learning and EYFS activities.
- Promote children’s communication, social and emotional development.
- Provide personal care for children when required.
- Help maintain a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning setting.
- Collaborate closely with the Early Years team to monitor progress.
Required profile
- Previous experience in a nursery, early years or primary setting.
- Understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
- Patient, enthusiastic and child‑focused attitude.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare.
