Nursery Team Leader

About the role

Join Childbase Partnership as a Nursery Team Leader, overseeing a room of under‑2s at Brinds Well Day Nursery in Chelsfield, Orpington. You will lead a small team, ensuring high‑quality early years provision and a safe, nurturing environment for children.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the Key Person for each child, planning and delivering engaging EYFS‑aligned activities.
• Observe, assess and record children’s progress, supporting their developmental milestones.
• Lead, mentor and support the room staff, organising daily routines and team inset days.
• Maintain safeguarding standards and ensure all health and safety policies are followed.
• Collaborate with parents and external partners to promote children’s wellbeing.

Required profile

• DfE‑approved early years qualification at Level 3 or above.
• Minimum two years experience working in an early years setting.
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and ability to implement it effectively.
• Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
