Occupational Health Advisor (Part‑time)

About the role

Take the lead in shaping wellbeing and health at work as an Occupational Health Advisor in Durham. This part‑time position offers a competitive salary, a bi‑annual retention bonus and the flexibility to choose permanent or temporary employment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert occupational health advice and support across the organisation.
• Deliver best‑practice occupational health services, including assessments, absence‑management support and health surveillance.
• Advise on health protection, health improvement and policy development related to workplace health.
• Champion employee wellbeing by identifying and implementing proactive interventions.
• Work collaboratively with managers and staff to ensure a safe and healthy working environment.

Required profile

• Occupational Health qualification is essential.
• Professional experience as an Occupational Health Nurse.
• Registered Nurse with a valid NMC pin.
• Ability to work independently and manage occupational health provision end‑to‑end.
• Confident communicator with strong initiative, organisational skills and attention to detail.
