Occupational Health Advisor – Southern Region

About the role

SGN is seeking an Occupational Health Advisor to deliver health surveillance and wellbeing services for staff across its Southern Region. The role combines on‑site clinic work with occasional remote days and occasional overnight stays, supported by a company van and meal allowances.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver the health surveillance programme across SGN South.
• Provide timely, accurate advice on health and wellbeing in line with legal and best‑practice guidelines.
• Support the Lead Nurse and Head of OH in developing policies and procedures.
• Manage workload of OH Technicians, produce weekly MI and flag trends.
• Refer staff to interventions, support services or sign‑posting as needed.
• Collaborate with Operations, HR and other directorates to drive occupational health engagement.
• Provide end‑to‑end case work, assessments and face‑fittings.

Required profile

• NMC registration (Part 3) and SCPHN Occupational Health qualification.
• Experience in health surveillance and case management.
• Familiarity with UK OH legislation, HSE guidelines and FOM best practice.
• Proactive mindset with ability to work independently.
