Occupational Therapist

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Occupational Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team at The Secret Garden School, an independent specialist day school in North Warwickshire. You will help young people with SEND achieve therapeutic progress through assessment, personalised interventions and collaborative practice.

Key responsibilities

• Embed Witherslack Group’s therapeutic practice model across the school setting.
• Conduct clinical assessments and formulate individualized occupational therapy plans.
• Deliver targeted interventions to support children with ADHD, autism, speech, language and social‑emotional difficulties.
• Provide consultation, workshops and training for educational and residential staff.
• Work closely with teachers, care staff and other clinicians to create therapeutic learning and living environments.

Required profile

• Qualified Occupational Therapist, registered with the relevant professional body.
• Experience working with children and young people with special educational needs and neuro‑developmental conditions.
• Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team and contribute to service development.
• Commitment to the safety, connection and relational approach of the therapeutic model.

Required skills

• Clinical assessment and formulation.
• Design and delivery of individualized occupational therapy interventions.
• Knowledge of neuro‑developmental and trauma‑informed needs.
• Training and facilitation skills for staff development.
