Occupational Therapist

About the role
We are seeking a passionate HCPC‑registered Occupational Therapist to join a specialist school supporting children and young people with neurological, physical and complex additional needs. Working within a trans‑disciplinary team, you will help students develop independence, confidence and life‑skills for success in school and beyond.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver individual and group occupational therapy programmes.
- Assess functional skills and develop personalised therapy plans.
- Recommend specialist equipment and environmental adaptations.
- Support seating, moving and handling, and eating and drinking plans.
- Work closely with teachers, families and external professionals.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to reviews and staff training.
Required profile
- Degree in Occupational Therapy.
- HCPC registration.
- Experience supporting people with neurological impairments.
- Excellent communication and assessment skills.
Required skills
- Experience with children and young people (desirable).
- Sensory Integration (desirable).
- Hand splinting (desirable).
- RCOT membership (desirable).
- Knowledge of specialist equipment (desirable).
