Office Assistant – Administrative Support

About the role
This full‑time permanent position offers a bright college leaver the chance to start a career in administration within a small, dynamic office. You will receive full training on our in‑house system and have the opportunity to progress after a six‑month probationary period.
Key responsibilities
- Answer telephone calls and manage general and online enquiries.
- Provide reception duties and maintain a professional telephone manner.
- Type documents, proofread, and perform data entry with high accuracy.
- Photocopy, file, archive, and organise paperwork.
- Handle incoming and outgoing post and manage stationery supplies.
- Arrange and prepare meeting rooms, maintain diaries and databases.
- Assist with event administration and marketing activities.
Required profile
- Minimum 5 GCSEs (A‑C) including English and Maths or equivalent.
- Strong grammar, spelling and attention to detail.
- Excellent telephone etiquette and interpersonal communication.
- Conscientious, enthusiastic, punctual and reliable.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and multitask.
- Typing speed of at least 30 wpm with accuracy.
- Outgoing personality, proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
Required skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
