OHLE Technician – Overhead Line Maintenance (6‑month contract)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced OHLE Technician to join a leading UK light‑rail organisation in Croydon. You will be part of the maintenance team responsible for keeping overhead line electrification assets safe and reliable for passenger services.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out planned and preventative maintenance, inspections and fault‑finding on OHLE infrastructure.
• Record work orders and activities in the Maximo Asset Management System.
• Assist with maintenance planning, possession documentation and reporting of asset defects.
• Supervise contractors when required and support the wider engineering team.
• Participate in first‑line on‑call duties and provide shift reports.

Required profile

• Previous OHLE maintenance experience in a rail or light‑rail environment.
• Strong knowledge of inspection, maintenance and fault‑finding techniques.
• Familiarity with Maximo or similar asset management systems is desirable.
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
• Relevant rail and electrical qualifications are advantageous.
