On-Site Support Technician

About the role

The law firm is looking for an On‑Site Support Technician to join its busy IT team in London on a 3‑month fixed‑term basis. You will be the first point of contact for staff, providing desk‑side, remote and telephone assistance for a range of technology issues.

Key responsibilities

• Provide telephone, remote and desk‑side support for hardware, software, peripherals, telephony and network problems.
• Set‑up and support internal and external meetings, presentations, conference calls and events.
• Configure and support web‑conferencing platforms such as Webex, Zoom and Microsoft Teams.
• Deliver training and support for the firm’s telephony system, including voicemail and conference call setup.
• Assist with document production, conversion, metadata removal and formatting, as well as creating merged documents, mailing lists and fillable forms.
• Support the creation of spreadsheets and presentations.
• Follow incident, change and knowledge management processes, ensuring accurate documentation and timely escalation.
• Maintain technical currency across Level One and Level Two software and hardware packages.

Required profile

• Strong communication skills to interact directly with all firm personnel.
• Ability to manage multiple incidents, identify major incidents and keep users informed.
• Attention to detail for document handling and metadata risk mitigation.
• Commitment to following IT service management best practices.
