Onboarding Administrator

About the role

Nova Care Group is seeking a methodical and proactive Onboarding Administrator to join its team in Peterlee. You will ensure every stage of the onboarding journey is completed accurately, with integrity and professionalism, supporting the delivery of safe, personalised care for young people.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct safer recruitment checks, including DBS, Right to Work, references and risk assessments, escalating concerns when required.
• Administer new starter contracts and onboarding documentation.
• Serve as the first point of contact for onboarding enquiries.
• Create and maintain accurate personnel files and tracking systems, updating relevant departments on candidate progress.
• Ensure compliance with internal standards and regulatory frameworks such as Ofsted and CQC.

Required profile

• Strong experience in an administrative role, preferably within HR, recruitment, compliance or onboarding.
• Ability to own and follow processes; knowledge of safeguarding, DBS and Right to Work is advantageous.
• Exceptional attention to detail and highly organised.
• Analytical and proactive approach with confidence communicating with internal and external stakeholders.
• Capable of managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency in using office software for documentation and record‑keeping.
