Onboarding Officer

About the role

The Onboarding Officer will support the induction of new staff and contractors for the Hinkley Point C construction site. You will act as the main liaison between new hires, Framatome France, and internal HR teams to ensure a smooth, compliant start.

Key responsibilities

• Liaise with new companies and starters to manage the onboarding process.
• Coordinate with Framatome France to induct French workers through the vetting process.
• Enter BPSS data into the HPC WIMS database and process vetting checks.
• Verify 3‑year work history, right‑to‑work status, and competency against the NNB matrix.
• Book HPC inductions, medicals, travel, hotels, training courses and onsite accommodation.
• Maintain badge validity and prevent access issues.
• Conduct monthly LC9 audits and attend WIMS working‑group meetings.
• Collaborate closely with HR and support senior management as required.
• Perform general office administration while ensuring GDPR confidentiality.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work to strict, time‑sensitive deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills at all organisational levels.
• Proven experience in large‑scale projects (desirable).
• Familiarity with WIMS database (desirable).
