About the role
Ramsay Health Care is seeking an Oncology Pharmacy Technician to join the pharmacy team at Springfield Hospital, Chelmsford. You will provide specialist technical support for oncology and haematology in‑patients and out‑patients, ensuring safe and efficient medication management.
Key responsibilities
- Take medication histories and complete medicines reconciliation on admission and discharge.
- Counsel patients and carers on medication use, providing clear advice to promote adherence.
- Prepare patient medication information in collaboration with pharmacists.
- Perform final accuracy checks of dispensed medicines in both oncology/haematology and main dispensaries.
- Support the pharmacy home‑care team for patients receiving treatment at home.
Required profile
- Registered pharmacy technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
- NVQ3 / BTEC in Pharmacy Services.
- ACPT qualification.
- Familiarity with electronic patient medication administration (EPMA) systems.
