Operational Risk Associate – Outsourcing Risk & Assurance

About the role

WTW is expanding its Outsourcing business and needs an Operational Risk Associate to help keep pension administration services resilient and well‑controlled. You will work closely with operational teams, senior stakeholders and Enterprise Risk Management to identify risks, strengthen controls and support data‑driven decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct horizon scanning of regulatory developments, industry trends and external events to spot emerging risks.
• Support risk assessments for new or changed products and services, ensuring operational dependencies and resilience are addressed early.
• Assist the Risk and Control Assessment (RACA) process, documenting and managing identified risks and controls.
• Review control self‑assessments, challenge assumptions and help improve the control environment.
• Investigate operational risk incidents, perform root‑cause analysis and drive preventative actions.
• Analyse incident and risk‑event data to identify trends, emerging risks and recurring themes.
• Maintain risk registers, dashboards, root‑cause reports and other management information.
