Operational Trainer – Healthcare (Mansfield, Stockport, Worksop)

About the role

The Operational Trainer will coordinate and deliver training across three Barchester Healthcare locations – Mansfield, Stockport and Worksop. You will ensure staff meet induction, refresher, statutory and mandatory training standards, supporting high-quality care and workforce safety.

Key responsibilities

• Act as DLP Champion for homes and hospitals, promoting e-learning and staying current with new developments.
• Plan, publish and manage training calendars to meet regional needs.
• Deliver training on safeguarding, Care Certificate, customer care, equality & diversity, LGBT+, fire drills, manual handling, basic life support/CPR and hospital-specific risk management.
• Record staff training completion in the L&D learning management system and maintain regulatory records.
• Monitor training targets, observe workplace practice and ensure compliance with legislative requirements.
• Motivate and engage staff, continuously reviewing and improving training programmes.

Required profile

• Diploma Level 3 in Health & Social Care or higher, or equivalent experience in a social-care setting.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills, able to work independently.
• Full UK driving licence with willingness to travel and occasional overnight stays.
• Positive attitude, willingness to learn and improve.
