Operational Training Manager

About the role

We are looking for an Operational Training Manager to lead the design, delivery and continuous improvement of our operational training programmes. You will be responsible for building a safe, compliant and high‑performing workforce through innovative learning solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a company‑wide training strategy aligned with business goals.
• Lead a team of trainers, introducing new methods and ensuring consistent quality.
• Deliver classroom, practical and on‑site training sessions while maintaining compliance standards.
• Manage the training calendar, coordinating with multiple departments across locations.
• Design blended learning programmes and create clear career pathways for employees.
• Maintain health and safety compliance, conduct audits and update training materials as required.
• Build relationships with internal stakeholders and external training partners, providing detailed reporting on outcomes.

Required profile

• Proven experience in operational training management and team leadership.
• Strong knowledge of Health & Safety regulations.
• Excellent organisational, communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Full UK driving licence with willingness to travel between sites.
• Desirable qualifications such as LANTRA, Train the Trainer or other L&D certifications.
