Operations Account Handler

About the role

We are partnering with a specialist reinsurance broker to strengthen their Energy & Renewables team. The Operations Account Handler will provide technical and operational support throughout the placement lifecycle, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in a fast‑moving portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day technical and operational support to the broking team.
• Prepare and process reinsurance slips, updating placement documentation as required.
• Support placements from pre‑placement through post‑placement activities.
• Accumulate, maintain and reconcile placement budgets using Excel.
• Liaise with brokers, underwriters and internal teams to ensure smooth delivery.
• Assist with premium processing, settlements and regulatory compliance.

Required profile

• Experience in the London market insurance or reinsurance sector, preferably in a technical, support or operations role.
• Hands‑on experience preparing or processing reinsurance slips.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Knowledge of the Oil & Gas / Energy market is advantageous but not essential.
• Desire to build a long‑term career in technical operations rather than broking.
