Operations Analyst Internship – 12.5 months

About the role

The Operations Analyst placement at Airbus’s Atlas Integrated Operations Centre supports the RAF A400M fleet. Over 12.5 months you will turn complex operational data into actionable insights to boost aircraft availability and mission readiness.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor live fleet metrics, aircraft availability and maintenance logs, and produce visual dashboards and performance reports for leadership.
• Clean, structure and merge fragmented datasets from engineering, military and logistics systems, and automate repetitive data‑collection workflows.
• Analyse data trends to perform root‑cause analysis, identify bottlenecks and work with planners and logistics teams to implement continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled undergraduate, preferably in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics or a related quantitative field; penultimate year preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to manipulate, clean and structure raw data and to build dashboards and reports.
• Experience with Google Workspace (Sheets, Forms, Apps Script) and advanced Excel (complex formulas, Power Query, pivot tables).
• Hands‑on experience with Power BI for visualisation; familiarity with SQL and Python is a plus.
• Self‑motivated, able to work autonomously, manage time effectively and communicate findings to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
