Operations Centre Analyst – 6‑month contract

About the role

We are seeking an Operations Centre Analyst for a 6‑month contract at a leading defence and aerospace client in Havant. The role involves supporting daily IT operations, handling incidents and contributing to service‑desk efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor servers and systems using event‑management tools and respond to alerts.
• Log, update and track incidents in the service‑management platform.
• Assist specialist teams in diagnosing and resolving technical problems.
• Provide regular updates on incident status to stakeholders.
• Support software rebuilds, deployments and configuration tasks after system failures.
• Help maintain and improve knowledge‑base articles.
• Generate reports from the service‑management system.
• Collaborate with the Senior Operations Engineer on process adherence and incident handling.

Required profile

• Experience in a customer‑facing technical support or service‑desk environment.
• Proactive attitude with the ability to adapt quickly to new tools and technologies.
• Strong attention to detail and a willingness to suggest process improvements.
• Enthusiasm for learning and developing within IT service management.

Required skills

• Use of service‑management tools for incident logging and tracking.
• Use of event‑management tools for monitoring infrastructure.

What we offer

• £20 per hour, inside IR35.
• Fixed working hours 7 am‑3 pm, Monday‑Friday.
