Operations Controller – Finance Business Partner

About the role

We are seeking an ambitious Operations Controller to act as a finance business partner for our manufacturing site. Reporting to the Head of Controlling, you will combine deep analytical expertise with strong stakeholder relationships to turn data into actionable insights and drive performance.

Key responsibilities

• Own the end‑to‑end standard costing and budgeting cycle, providing clarity on material movements and performance trends.
• Deliver robust month‑end reporting, variance analysis and performance commentary, translating root‑cause insights into corrective actions.
• Build and enhance Excel models and BI tools (Power BI) to improve visibility on cost, waste and operational efficiency.
• Partner with the Site General Manager and cross‑functional teams (commercial, NPD, operations) to influence decisions and achieve site performance targets.
• Identify and implement continuous‑improvement opportunities in processes, reporting and decision‑making.
• Support strategic and ad‑hoc projects that enhance operational efficiency and profitability.

Required profile

• Hands‑on analytical mindset with a proven track record in operations finance within FMCG or manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of standard costing, budgeting and variance analysis.
• Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insight for non‑finance audiences.
• Proactive, solutions‑focused approach with resilience to meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
