Operations Controller

About the role

Greencore is seeking an Operations Controller to lead the manufacturing unit in Liverpool. Reporting to the Site General Manager and sitting on the Site Leadership Team, you will be responsible for delivering key performance indicators across all shifts and ensuring operational objectives exceed customer expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to the development and implementation of the unit’s business plan to achieve EBIT and productivity targets.
• Control manufacturing spend within approved limits and align costs with the agreed budget.
• Coordinate and take corrective action to integrate all operational elements, delivering product to food‑safety and customer standards efficiently.
• Implement health, safety and environment plans, managing performance to enhance colleague wellbeing.
• Identify, prioritize and drive capex projects that support the efficiency plan.
• Consult with relevant departments to ensure effective use of new capital equipment.
• Highlight bottleneck processes and implement actions to meet labour and waste targets.
• Provide inspirational leadership to keep the operational team safe, engaged and focused.

Required profile

• Reporting directly to the Site General Manager and participating as a member of the Site Leadership Team.
