Operations Coordinator – AOG Logistics

About the role

Our client, a leading aerospace freight forwarding and logistics provider, is seeking an Operations Coordinator for its AOG (Aircraft on Ground) logistics team in Heathrow. The role involves managing shipments from quotation through to delivery, ensuring compliance, and delivering high‑quality customer service in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Handle end‑to‑end import and export processes, from quotation to shipment completion.
• Prepare and manage all required documentation, including customs entries and delivery instructions.
• Provide prompt customer service via email and phone, track shipments and resolve inquiries.
• Maintain accurate records, billing, and customer data within the company system.
• Ensure compliance with statutory aviation requirements, health & safety policies and the Quality Management System.
• Generate quotations using Cargowise, convert them into live jobs and follow up to secure business.

Required profile

• Proven experience in AOG or air export freight forwarding operations.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, customer‑driven environment.
• Strong organisational, communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Solid understanding of UK customs law and procedures.
• Capability to work independently and take initiative.

Required skills

• Cargowise (preferred)
• Customs Declaration Service
• Microsoft Office – Word, PowerPoint, Excel
• Dangerous Goods compliance certification (preferred)
