Operations Coordinator – Energy Projects

About the role

The Advance Operations Coordinator will support a leading energy company in Harwich, Essex, ensuring day‑to‑day project activities run smoothly. Working on a 12‑hour shift pattern (7 days on, 7 days off) you will help deliver clean‑energy initiatives while maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate daily operations of energy projects to meet timelines and objectives.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers and other stakeholders to facilitate execution.
• Monitor progress and prepare regular status reports for management.
• Assist in developing and implementing operational policies and procedures.
• Track expenses and support budget management for projects.
• Identify process improvements and recommend solutions.
• Maintain accurate project documentation for compliance and reporting.
• Build strong relationships with internal teams and external partners.

Required profile

• Proven experience in operations coordination, maintenance scheduling or a similar role, preferably within the energy sector.
• Excellent organisational ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a fast‑paced team.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office Suite
• SAP (experience considered a plus)

What we offer

• 6‑month initial contract with the possibility of extension.
• £17.00 per hour PAYE or £21.81 via umbrella.
• On‑site role at CO12 4GD, Harwich with a 12‑hour shift pattern.
