Operations Coordinator – Logistics & Administration

About the role

We are seeking an Operations Coordinator to join a growing international business in the food manufacturing and supply chain sector. Based in Newcastle upon Tyne, you will support day‑to‑day operations, liaise with suppliers and logistics partners, and help keep the business running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate operational records for orders, shipments and logistics.
• Monitor and update shipment schedules, flag delays and communicate changes.
• Coordinate with suppliers, logistics providers, customers and internal departments.
• Prepare and maintain documentation, reports and business records.
• Chase outstanding actions to ensure deadlines are met.
• Provide administrative support across multiple business functions.
• Assist with operational projects as the company expands.

• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
• Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Proactive and able to work independently.
• Confident communicator with colleagues, suppliers and external partners.
• Strong team player willing to support wherever needed.

What we offer

• Salary between £28,000 and £34,000 per year, dependent on experience.
• Full‑time permanent role based in Newcastle with initial paid travel to the York site.
