Operations & Customer Support Assistant

About the role

This full‑time position combines warehouse operations with first‑line customer support for a specialist technology distributor. You will work Monday‑Friday, 8:30 am‑4:30 pm, based in the Maylands area of Hemel Hempstead, supporting customers via phone and email while handling order processing and stock management.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, check and book incoming deliveries.
• Pick, pack and dispatch customer orders accurately.
• Manage returns, repair requests and maintain demo equipment.
• Provide first‑line telephone and email support to customers.
• Update and maintain records in the CRM system.
• Liaise with suppliers, service centres and internal departments.
• Monitor stock levels and assist with stock control.
• Support day‑to‑day warehouse activities and attend trade shows when required.

Required profile

• Genuine interest in technology and willingness to learn.
• Confident verbal communication and strong written email skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and good memory for product information.
• Organised, able to juggle multiple tasks and work both independently and as part of a team.
• Comfortable using computers and learning new systems.
• Previous experience in warehouse, logistics or customer service is an advantage.
