Operations Manager - Financial Advisors

About the role

Join a respected chartered financial planning firm in the City of London as an Operations Manager. You will work closely with the Directors to ensure smooth day‑to‑day operations across finance, compliance, HR and technology, supporting high‑net‑worth clients and a growing team.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily business operations and ensure efficient service delivery.
• Reconcile business income in the CRM system and manage monthly payroll.
• Perform company bank reconciliations, P11D administration and introducer payments.
• Manage third‑party technology platforms, software providers and IT security.
• Handle FCA and regulatory reporting, including GABRIEL submissions and AR compliance.
• Maintain the Training & Competence Scheme, CPD records and professional indemnity renewals.
• Chair Investment and Proposition Committee meetings and conduct adviser 1‑2‑1 sessions.
• Lead recruitment, prepare employment contracts, maintain the staff handbook and coordinate annual reviews.
• Organise staff incentives, employee engagement initiatives and board meetings.

Required profile

• Proven experience in operations management within a financial services environment.
• Strong understanding of FCA regulations and compliance requirements.
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple functional areas.
• Comfortable working directly with senior leadership and influencing business processes.
