Operations Manager – Financial Planning

About the role

This is a senior Operations Manager position within a well‑established Chartered Financial Planner in Central London. You will act as the bridge between strategic objectives and daily execution, ensuring operational excellence, compliance and profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare management accounts and support statutory company accounts, including bank and income reconciliations, payroll, P11D compliance and financial reporting.
• Oversee FCA regulatory compliance, manage GABRIEL submissions, appointed representative duties, CPD records and professional renewals.
• Lead governance activities such as chairing Investment and Proposition Committee meetings, organising board meetings and maintaining the business plan.
• Manage the firm’s IT infrastructure, hardware, software, third‑party platforms and security.
• Conduct adviser 1:1 meetings to support performance, development and regulatory compliance.
• Direct all HR functions – recruitment, onboarding, contracts, handbook updates, performance reviews and incentive programmes.
• Coordinate administration of premises, supplier relationships and day‑to‑day operations.
• Plan and execute marketing campaigns and nurture relationships with external partners.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in operations or senior administration within a finance‑focused environment.
• Strong understanding of FCA regulations and financial reporting standards.
• Proven ability to manage cross‑functional teams and drive process improvements.
