Operations Manager

About the role

Virtue Vets is seeking a hands‑on Operations Manager to support the day‑to‑day running and rapid growth of its multi‑site veterinary group in London. This full‑time, on‑site position will involve working closely with clinic teams, lead vets, head nurses, front‑of‑house staff and the Operations Director to ensure high standards across all locations.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary operational point of contact for each clinic.
• Resolve day‑to‑day operational issues quickly and effectively.
• Oversee housekeeping standards and ensure compliance with health, safety and brand SOPs.
• Improve client journeys and support rollout of new services, systems and growth initiatives.
• Develop clear action plans after clinic visits and follow through on agreed actions.
• Manage operational costs and assigned budget items.
• Collaborate with Property Director and Maintenance Manager on property‑ and equipment‑related matters.

Required profile

• Experience managing high‑end spas, gyms, aesthetic clinics, healthcare facilities, hospitality venues or premium retail businesses, preferably in a fast‑growing environment.
• Proven track record in operational, service‑delivery or multi‑site management roles.
• Fast learner, able to thrive in a rapidly evolving scale‑up.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and calm under pressure.
• Excellent attention to detail, organisation and communication skills.

Required skills

• Experience with rotas, staffing, suppliers, facilities, inventory, basic finance controls and compliance.
• Commercial awareness and ability to use data to identify issues and opportunities.
• Comfortable using operational systems, spreadsheets and scheduling tools.
