Operations Manager

About the role

We are looking for an Operations Manager to lead the operational delivery of project builds from October 2026. The role will ensure projects are completed on time, within scope and to the highest quality standards, balancing office coordination with on‑site presence.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with Project and Site Managers during planning to define operational requirements.
• Run weekly internal operations meetings to capture needs and resolve issues before project start.
• Maintain the Team Track system with current, future and pipeline projects, adjusting for unplanned resourcing.
• Book internal and freelance crew, prepare detailed crew packs and manage licences.
• Negotiate rates and draft contracts with UK and global crewing agencies.
• Approve freelance and agency invoices in partnership with Finance and Project Management.
• Communicate with crew to answer project‑specific queries and provide ad‑hoc support.
• Oversee UK and international site transport logistics, negotiating with haulage providers.
• Secure plant, accommodation and travel arrangements, ensuring best value and long‑term partnerships.
• Assist Project Managers with administrative tasks such as crew licences and accreditation.

Required profile

• Proven operations experience in a similar industry.
• Knowledge of plant machinery and its on‑site application.
• Excellent multitasking, communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail and time‑management skills.
• Willingness to work both in the office and on‑site, including out‑of‑hours when required.

What we offer
