Operations Manager (Repairs and Voids)

About the role

Goodman Masson is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead the Repairs and Voids function within its Asset Management Directorate. You will use performance data to drive efficiencies, ensure repairs are completed on time and to a high standard, and support the organisation’s customer‑centric approach across its portfolio of around 8,000 homes.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strong leadership for the Repairs and Maintenance team, including voids, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
• Analyse performance data to identify trends, inefficiencies and improvement opportunities, and optimise repair processes and resource allocation.
• Lead, mentor and develop trade supervisors, ensuring high‑performance delivery and consistent standards.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and promote flexible resource use.
• Collaborate with Neighbourhood and Estates, Allocations, Communications, Supported and Strategic Asset Management departments.
• Facilitate regular cross‑departmental meetings to align goals and priorities.
• Prepare and present regular performance reports to the Head of Repairs.

Required profile

• A relevant building or trade qualification.
• Proven experience in a strategic operations management role within repairs and maintenance.
• Demonstrated ability to analyse performance data and implement operational improvements.
• Track record of leading and developing teams of trade professionals and supervisors.
