Operations Manager – School Catering

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager to lead our school catering services across Oxfordshire and South Northamptonshire. You will be responsible for ensuring high‑quality, nutritious meals are delivered efficiently to multiple school sites while fostering a motivated team.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day catering operations across all assigned schools.
• Manage and develop multi‑site teams, ensuring clear communication and high performance.
• Maintain service quality, health‑and‑safety, and safeguarding standards.
• Control budgets, monitor costs and drive continuous improvement.
• Implement food safety and hygiene procedures.
• Travel between sites and adapt to changing operational needs.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing teams in the education or catering sector (Area Manager, Catering Manager, Multi‑Site Manager background preferred).
• Strong leadership, planning and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Full UK driver’s licence and willingness to travel.
• Commitment to health‑and‑safety and safeguarding regulations.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
