Operations Manager – Student Experience

About the role

We are seeking an Operations Manager to lead the domestic operations and student experience for our West Sussex campus. Reporting to the Director of Operations, you will ensure a safe, welcoming environment for students, staff and visitors while driving continuous improvement across support services.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee facilities management, including cleaning, laundry, wardrobe, portering and transport services.
• Lead a team of approximately 50 staff, fostering collaboration and high performance.
• Manage day‑to‑day operations and plan future development of student experience services.
• Collaborate with senior leaders and the COO’s team to deliver coordinated facilities support.
• Control operational budgets, ensuring compliance with policies and financial targets.
• Engage with school stakeholders to maintain high standards of service delivery.

Required profile

• Degree or HND level education or equivalent.
• Proven experience leading change and service improvement initiatives.
• Strong background in facilities management and senior customer‑facing roles.
• Excellent literacy, numeracy and communication skills.
• Ability to work within tight financial constraints and manage budgets.
• Clean driving licence; D1 and MIDAS qualification desirable.
