About the role
The Operations Manager will lead the delivery of temporary accommodation services in Milton Keynes, overseeing the full property lifecycle and ensuring compliance with council contracts and landlord expectations. The role combines stakeholder liaison, escalation handling and continuous improvement of service standards.
Key responsibilities
- Act as the primary operational contact for local authorities and council housing teams, ensuring compliance with contracts and SLAs.
- Lead escalation resolution for property issues, tenant concerns and operational disruptions, coordinating with internal departments.
- Manage landlord relationships, addressing queries on property condition, tenancy breaches and rent disputes.
- Oversee the property hand‑back process, ensuring inspections, damage assessments and repairs are completed on time.
- Monitor performance against SLAs and KPIs, implement process improvements and mentor operational staff.
Required profile
- Proven experience in operations management within housing, property management or temporary accommodation.
- Strong understanding of housing legislation, property standards and local authority processes.
- Experience working with councils and public‑sector stakeholders.
- Ability to manage escalations with professionalism and urgency.
- Degree or equivalent qualification.
