Operations Officer

About the role

The Operations Officer will deliver a high standard of service to both internal and external clients by managing account and loan processes, ensuring data accuracy, and following departmental procedures. The role involves handling routine queries, escalating complex issues, supporting colleagues, and driving continuous process improvements within Alpha Bank’s Customer, Loans & Deposit Operations team.

Key responsibilities

• Process account opening, maintenance, and closing requests, as well as payments and loan transactions, ensuring prompt and accurate handling.
• Resolve straightforward client queries and refer complex enquiries to the appropriate subject‑matter expert.
• Review own work for completeness and accuracy, correcting any discrepancies before finalisation.
• Manage personal workflow, prioritising tasks and recognising urgent items.
• Enter, extract, verify and collect data in line with departmental manuals and policies.
• Raise any non‑compliance issues immediately to the Operations Lead.
• Support team members by sharing information, offering assistance and collaborating on projects.
• Identify, champion and implement process improvements.
• Participate in testing of system enhancements and ensure competency levels are maintained.
• Contribute to performance planning and review processes.
