Operations Supervisor – Logistics

About the role

The Operations Supervisor is the first point of contact for team members on shift, ensuring that Amazon’s logistics processes run smoothly and safely. This hands‑on role supports the Shift/Area Manager by leading pre‑shift meetings, monitoring performance, and applying Amazon’s operational tools and systems.

Key responsibilities

• Measure and monitor workflows, track on‑site performance and provide shift information to frontline management.
• Support and train employees, supervise daily tasks and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
• Assist the Shift/Area Manager with projects aimed at process improvement, workforce engagement and a safe working environment.
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve common issues and support key performance areas.
• Use data analysis to identify opportunities to optimise safety, quality and productivity.
• Escalate issues when necessary and, when senior on shift, give direction to complete tasks.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience in an operational or logistics environment.
• Ability to lead, coach and motivate a team during shift operations.
• Strong focus on safety, quality and continuous improvement.
• Comfort with using operational tools, systems and data‑driven decision making.
