Operations Supervisor – Parcel Delivery Hub

About the role

Join the UK’s leading parcel delivery company as an Operations Supervisor in Preston. You will oversee the safe and efficient flow of parcels through the sortation areas of a busy warehouse hub, ensuring every delivery reaches the customer on time.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and reconcile warehouse activities, including deliveries and holdbay management.
• Manage bulk and return deliveries using C&D and LGV fleets.
• Support bulk collection and customer planning processes.
• Enforce LGV transport rules and regulations.
• Deploy operational resources effectively to meet work‑area requirements.
• Achieve or exceed KPI targets for the area.
• Participate in training and personal development courses as scheduled.

Required profile

• Minimum of 1 year experience in a comparable supervisory role.
• Knowledge of resource management and deployment within a warehouse environment.
• Excellent communication skills for delivering and receiving operational instructions.
• Good IT proficiency.
