Ophthalmic Scrub Nurse / ODP – Full‑time

About the role

The Yorkshire Clinic is seeking a qualified Ophthalmic Scrub Nurse / Operating Department Practitioner to join its busy Ophthalmology theatre team. This full‑time position involves providing high‑quality care and scrub support for ophthalmic procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver planned patient care in the ophthalmology theatre.
• Provide scrub assistance for clinical procedures.
• Support the organisation and management of departmental care provision.
• Assist in the delivery of patient care and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
• Promote evidence‑based practice and apply relevant legislation, policies and procedures.
• Respect patient dignity, privacy, wishes and beliefs.

Required profile

• Registered with the NMC or HCPC.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Experience with ophthalmology procedures is advantageous; training will be provided.
