Optical Assistant Manager – East London

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Optical Assistant Manager to join a leading chain of Optical & Hearing Care practices in East London. This role is ideal for a motivated individual who wants to develop a career in optical retail management while delivering excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and motivate a small team to achieve sales targets and maintain high customer satisfaction.
• Carry out optical dispensing tasks, including pre‑screening, minor adjustments, and fitting glasses.
• Deliver staff training and support to ensure consistent service standards.
• Handle administrative duties and assist with day‑to‑day practice operations.
• Monitor and contribute to KPI setting and achievement.

Required profile

• Strong customer‑service focus with a desire to progress within the optical sector.
• Commercially minded and able to drive business growth.
• Experience in supervising or leading a team, or a senior optical assistant ready for management.
• Ability to work full‑time hours and commit to the practice’s schedule.
