About the role

We are seeking an experienced Optical Branch Manager to lead a modern independent practice in Derby. The role combines commercial responsibility with a strong focus on delivering exceptional patient care and a premium in‑store experience.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the optical practice, ensuring high standards of service and compliance.
• Deliver an outstanding customer experience throughout the patient journey.
• Lead, motivate and develop the team to achieve their full potential.
• Drive branch performance, identify growth opportunities and implement business‑development initiatives.
• Support staff training, engagement and ongoing professional development.
• Manage administration, compliance and operational procedures.
• Collaborate closely with the Regional Manager and wider network.
• Maintain a professional, welcoming and relaxed practice environment.

Required profile

• Previous management experience within an optical practice (essential).
• Strong leadership and team‑management abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commercial awareness with a passion for customer service.
• Confident, organised and self‑motivated.
• Positive, professional attitude with strong attention to detail.
