Opticians Practice Manager – Full‑time in Clapham

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Opticians Practice Manager to lead our well‑regarded independent practice in Clapham. The role combines hands‑on dispensing expertise with people‑management responsibilities in a calm, patient‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the day‑to‑day operations of the practice, ensuring smooth workflow and high service standards.
• Lead, motivate and develop a multidisciplinary team to consistently deliver excellent patient care.
• Provide hands‑on training, support performance management and handle complex dispensing cases.
• Manage patient queries, appointment scheduling and maintain the practice’s premium reputation.

Required profile

• Fully qualified Dispensing Optician registered with the GOC.
• Proven experience managing and leading staff in a high‑end independent optical setting.
• Strong communication and organisational abilities with a patient‑focused mindset.
• Interest in premium eyewear and quality dispensing, comfortable making leadership decisions.
