Optometrist – Eastbourne

About the role

Vision Express is seeking a qualified optometrist to join its busy Eastbourne store. You will work in a modern clinic equipped with OCT and an Auto Phoropter, delivering high‑quality eye examinations and building patient confidence.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive eye tests using OCT and Auto Phoropter equipment.
• Provide accurate diagnoses and recommend appropriate corrective lenses or treatments.
• Maintain patient records in line with GOC standards.
• Contribute to the commercial performance of the store by meeting sales targets.
• Collaborate with the store team to ensure a seamless patient experience.

Required profile

• Qualified and GOC‑registered optometrist.
• Strong clinical expertise with the ability to communicate findings clearly.
• Team‑oriented mindset and willingness to support colleagues.
• Commitment to delivering excellent customer service.

Required skills

• OCT (Optical Coherence Tomography) operation.
• Auto Phoropter usage.

• Salary up to £75,000 per year (based on experience) plus a £4,000 car allowance.
