Optometrist – Full-time, 4‑day week in Guildford

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Optometrist to join our Guildford store, delivering high‑quality eye care to a diverse customer base. The role is full‑time on a 4‑day week schedule, offering a blend of clinical work and patient interaction in a supportive retail environment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and assess visual health.
• Diagnose and manage ocular conditions, including referrals when necessary.
• Prescribe and dispense spectacles and contact lenses.
• Utilise and maintain the latest clinical equipment and technology.
• Maintain accurate patient records in line with regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with store staff to ensure a seamless customer experience.

Required profile

• Qualified Optometrist registered with the General Optical Council (GOC).
• Passionate about providing exceptional eye‑care services.
• Team‑oriented and able to build rapport with colleagues and customers.
• Committed to ongoing professional development.

Required skills

• GOC registration.
• Proficiency with clinical eye‑care equipment.
• Medical Retina certification.
• Glaucoma certification.
