Optometrist – Full‑time Permanent Role

About the role
As an Optometrist at Asda Opticians you will deliver high‑quality eye care to our customers, performing comprehensive eye examinations, contact lens assessments and extended service checks. You will work closely with the Dispensing Optician Manager, supporting colleagues through training, coaching and maintaining departmental standards.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct routine and complex eye examinations, including refraction and visual acuity testing.
- Perform contact lens and extended service examinations in line with NHS contracts.
- Support and coach team members, ensuring adherence to departmental standards.
- Maintain accurate patient records and follow up on treatment plans.
- Participate in continuous professional development and acquire additional accreditations as required.
- Optionally supervise GOC‑registered students to aid their training.
Required profile
- GOC‑registered Optometrist with a commitment to excellent patient care.
- Enthusiastic about contributing to store service levels and community health.
- Team‑oriented with strong communication skills.
- Willingness to engage in ongoing training and professional development.
