Optometrist – Part‑time – Crewkerne

About the role

Vision Express is looking for a qualified optometrist to join our Crewkerne store on a part‑time basis (four days a week, Tuesday to Saturday). You will work in fully equipped test rooms featuring OCT and an Auto Phoropter, delivering accurate eye examinations and building patient confidence.

Key responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive eye examinations using OCT and Auto Phoropter equipment.
• Provide clear diagnoses and recommend appropriate corrective lenses or treatments.
• Contribute to the commercial success of the store by meeting sales targets and delivering excellent customer service.
• Collaborate with the team, sharing ideas and supporting colleagues.
• Participate in the TG Pool for overtime shifts, paid at 80% of the locum rate.

Required profile

• Qualified and GOC‑registered optometrist.
• Strong clinical expertise with the ability to deliver confident diagnoses.
• Team‑oriented mindset and willingness to support store performance.
• Passion for patient care and a commercial focus.

Required skills

• Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) operation.
• Auto Phoropter use.
• Vision testing and clinical diagnosis.
