Optometrist – Retail Eye Care Specialist

About the role

Join Vision Express as an Optometrist and work with cutting‑edge eye‑care technology in a vibrant retail environment. You will help customers maximise their lifestyle through accurate eye examinations and personalised eyewear solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive eye tests using automated refraction, non‑contact tonometry, automated keratometry, fundus camera, visual field analyser, OCT and automated phoropters.
• Provide specialist recommendations on eyecare and eyewear based on test results.
• Build rapport with patients, translating professional terminology into clear, understandable language.
• Collaborate with store colleagues to deliver a seamless customer experience.
• Manage a fast‑paced retail environment, handling pressure and challenging situations.

Required profile

• Proven experience testing patients' eyes and delivering appropriate recommendations.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build patient trust.
• Team‑oriented mindset and ability to work well with store staff.
• Resilience under pressure in a busy retail setting.
• Confidence, passion and enthusiasm for optometry.
